Just a teeny sample of the fresh produce on offer at great value...

Brighton Sunday Market (more commonly referred to as "the Brighton Boot Sale) is an open air market held rain, hail (maybe not) or shine on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of every month.

A vintage art poster re the health benefits of Coca Cola... hmm - not entirely convincing...

The market consists of stall holders and "car boot" sellers which spread over the grounds of Brighton Secondary School (alternating between the grounds closest to Brighton Road and the rear oval, next to King George Avenue).

TSHIRTMAN.COM.AU proudly custom prints t-shirts while you wait...

The Brighton Sunday Market is a fund raising initiative of the Music Parents Support Group. All proceeds from sellers fees and car parking fees goes back into student programs, including Special Interest Music.

A set of golf clubs for $50 - now that's bagging a bargain...

The market is open to buyers from 7am to 12pm. Car parking on school grounds is $2 per car and there's usually ample parking, though it does get slightly congested later in the morning.

It doesn't have to cost the earth to liven up your house and garden - especially with the variety of plants on offer from a number of regular & reputable stall holders...

This market is well organised; fresh produce is in one section - making it easy to shop quickly and specifically, then over to the food and beverage stalls to grab a coffee and a treat and last but not least, take your time meandering and browsing around the numerous stalls offering an endless variety of items.

What would a successful Sunday market be without the Rotary Club of Holdfast Bay's legendary sausage sizzle?

Apart from the traditional sausage sizzle, there's also expertly roasted fair trade organic coffee, cake stalls, fudge stalls, you name it, it's sure to be there.

Bush Tucker Icecream's our favourite food stall - especially on warm days...

One of our favourite food stalls is Bush Tucker Ice-cream (my son's favourite flavour is Native Mint and Cocoa). We've sampled quite a bit of their huge range of flavours (my favourite's the Roasted Wattleseed, but Macadamia is a close second). I was pleased to see there is now a sugar free & fat free flavour (Lemon Myrtle) suited to diabetics and also dairy free flavours - quite unique.

Yet another favourite treat of ours is Rita's legendary FRESHLY COOKED honey puffs - emphasis is on FRESH and HOME MADE with this proud stall holder. Also on offer is Rita's Fasolatha, a Greek style homemade soup & homegrown organic garlic...

If you're wandering around with your dog (yes, a "pet friendly" market), then browse through the pet treats stalls which offer homemade pet treats, made with natural ingredients.

Alternatively, if you're looking to clear some unwanted items that are still in good condition and would rather not go through the hassle of having your own garage sale; this is the place for you! There's a huge volume of buyers wandering around, hunting for bargains and every seller is bound to have some item someone else desires (at a reasonable and more times than not bartered/negotiated price).

Too good to refuse was this Royal Copenhagen figurine, The Whittler - in pristine condition...

I bought this beautiful Royal Copenhagen figurine "The Whittler" from a very knowledgeable seller who automatically negotiated a lesser price without any hard bargaining!

As a seller, entry is $20 per car; $25 per car and trailer; $30 per vehicle over 1 tonne (maximum 5 tonne).

Hi there,

can you please adjust this page. The Brighton Sunday Market is no longer holding the market on the 5th Sunday of a month....only the 2nd and 4th.

Many thanks,
