Dance to Move, an all-inclusive program
The
Suncoast Spinners Wheelchair Sports Club is very excited to be expanding its children’s reverse-inclusion programs this year with the launch of the new
‘Dance to Move’ program, which is in addition to their very successful Wednesday night sessions of
Wheelchair Basketball Kids’ Club. Designed to be truly inclusive and accessible, the
Dance to Move program ensures every child, with or without disabilities, has the chance to experience the joy of dance.
Suncoast Spinners, in partnership with

Dance to Move is a delightful program designed for children aged between four and twelve, with and without disabilities. The dance sessions will allow ALL children to participate - whether in a wheelchair, seated on the floor, or standing - ensuring that everyone can join in on the fun! Participants will enjoy exploring a variety of dance styles and music, all with the objective of working towards an exciting performance at the end of the program.

Suncoast Spinners president Bridie Kean said the success of the
Basketball Kids Club which brought together children in wheelchairs as well as their able-bodied siblings and friends, had resulted in adding the
Dance to Move session to the 2025 program. Both the
Wheelchair Basketball Kids Club and the
Dance to Move Programs are FREE, thanks to the generous support of the Sunshine Coast Council and Qspec Building Mobility Solutions.
The
Dance to Move Program runs on Tuesdays from 5.00pm to 5.45pm and the
Basketball Kids Club runs on Wednesdays from 5.00pm to 6.00pm and both are held at the UniSC Sports Arena.
