The warm weather is here now in the United States with the sun shining! You know what that means… sun tea!

Sun tea is made with sun tea jars placed in the sun using 10 tea bags and water.

After setting the sun tea jar out all day, one usually brings the sun tea jar inside stirring in some sugar, iced cubes and lemon. Often, this is called Southern Sweet Tea, tracing its roots to the Southern United States.



Personally, I like to use black tea with orange pekoe tea bags.

My present sun tea jar was bought at a yard sale years ago! With yard sale season here now, be on the lookout! If not, sun tea jars should be on sale around now! If you cannot find it in stores, look online! For example, Poshmark.com makes deals

Dress up your sun tea with various glasses and lemon slices. Slurp with a straw!

If you cannot have sugar, use an artificial sweetener of your choice.
