Found in Somerton Park, there is a quirky cafe meets workspace meets market stall - it's .

Not quite as far as the bustling areas of Glenelg and Brighton, and with more of an industrial vibe than a corner cafe, offers ample space to catch up with friends or family and share a coffee and a chat.

However, it's much more than that. has an incredible indoor and outdoor seating area, and boasts large tables that you could bring your work to and set up for the afternoon. There are comfortable couches, spaces available for big groups as well as intimate areas for just a couple of people, but what strikes you as you enter is the market stall vibes.

You check in at the large open entryway and then you can make your way along several benches and shelves showcasing local, handmade and artisan wares. There's a shelf from Littlest Vintage, there are one-of-a-kind mugs and there's lovingly made body care products. There are unique greeting cards as well as some items of clothing and a table of books. So before you even order your coffee, you've already picked up a couple of other items.

are lovers of a good time with good friends too, which is why they host curated events on premises. They host live music, vintage ware market days, jazz evenings and long table dinners. It doesn't stop there though, as they are about to start hosting a variety of in-house workshops too. From pottery and painting to jewellery making, you can be sure to find something to suit your interests. All of the details around these events can be found on their Facebook page .

When it comes to coffee, the cafe use De Groot Coffee Co so you know your first sip will be excellent and they offer a range of milk options and caffeine strengths if you're only after a weak coffee. While you sip, you can rent a space to use for your creative projects or speak to the staff about longer lease options too. They really can cater to just about anything.

While I wouldn't bring a toddler to this space as there is a lot of things that are at the right height for little hands to mess with, an older child who is happy to enjoy a baby-chino or read a book would be fine, as would a younger infant who stays in an adult's arms. The premises is accessible with a pram and for the most part, a wheelchair would also fit and be able to maneuverer. Parking is a bit of an issue as there are a lot of 'no parking' zones in the surrounding streets and other businesses next door, but if you're happy to park a block or so away or further up the street, you can walk on back to the cafe.

The coffee was great - I'm an almond flat white person myself and I was impressed with the taste and also that the coffee stayed warm in the pottery mugs.

is located at 13 Paringa Ave in Somerton Park and is open Wed - Fri from 0730 to 1500, Sat from 0830 to 1500 and Sun 0900 to 1500.
