The fantastic Summerset Arts Festival is on again for 2013. Now in its fifth year the Summerset Arts Festival is a real celebration of culture and will run for three weeks, from Wednesday 6th February until the Saturday 23rd February, 2013.
Proudly bought to you by the City of Stirling, the Summerset Arts Festival features a great mixture art exhibitions, live comedy, kids events, theatrical shows and live music.
With over twenty two free or very low cost events there will be plenty of top-notch entertainment to suit everyone. New this year will be the pop-up entertainment venues in Inglewood, sensory outdoor art installations and the magical world of Funlandia at the Kids Festival.
Some of the fantastic events planned for this year include Jazz in the Park, the Polka Dot Vintage Markets, Between the Books, Summerset Jewels, Sunset Samba, Hidden History Walking Tour, Summer Stories and Comedy Under The Stars.
One of the highlights of the Summerset Arts Festival is the Beach Closing Concert which will be held at the Scarborough Beach Amphitheatre on Saturday 23rd February, 2013. This year the very popular concert the will feature Western Australia's very own Eskimo Joe. With over a decade of signature hits, including Black Fingernails Red Wine, From The Sea and Foreign Land this award winning band will play plenty of crowd pleasers to make sure that the Beach Closing Concert is a big hit.
