The hugely popular Summer Sounds concert series returns to the Australian National Botanic Gardens in February 2019! Enjoy live music, dancing, and delicious food and drink as you chill to the sounds of summer.
Taking place in the beautiful, tranquil surrounds of the Botanic Garden's Eucalypt Lawn, the Summer Sounds concerts will be held from 5.00 pm – 7.30 pm on Saturday Feb 2, Sunday Feb 3, Saturday Feb 9 & Sunday Feb 10 February.
Bring family and friends for a picnic or enjoy the onsite catering stalls which will include Capital Woodfired Pizza, Pure Gelato and Mr Papa (Peruvian fare).
A courtesy bus will also be available to take people with mobility limitations to the event site.
The 2019 Summer Sounds Music Program: Featuring an exciting program that includes Big Boss Groove, the Band of the Royal Military College, Duntroon, and big favourites Annie and the Armadillos, the Summer Sounds concert series will be sure to get you dancing and grooving!
On February 2, Bewitched teams up with Jumptown Swing for a show and dance class not to be missed. On February 3, it's the Band of the Royal Military College with Jumptown Swing.
February 9 showcases Big Boss Groove with Canberra Swing Katz. And on February 10, Canberra favourites Annie and the Armadillos team up with Canberra Swing Katz for an unforgettable performance.
Ticket prices Summer Sounds is now a ticketed event, with all proceeds going to the Friends of the Australian National Botanic Gardens to support future activities. Ticket prices are Adults $10.00; Friends, concession and students $7.50; Children 4–17 years old $5.00, and Children 3 years and under free. Discounted early bird tickets are now available online.
