Event: -
Once again, foodies traveling to New York City have reason to rejoice. From Monday, July 16 to Friday, August 10, 2012, an exciting culinary event takes place. Summer Restaurant Week 2012 will showcase an array of topnotch dining venues specializing in culinary flavors from around the world—at a fraction of their regular prices.

Morimoto is adjacent to Chelsea Market at 88 Tenth Avenue.

On its 20th year, the biannual event runs for a 20-day period. Drop by participating acclaimed restaurants and enjoy either a prix fixe three-course lunch at $24.07 or dinner at $35. Anyone visiting the five boroughs knows these prices are quite a steal when visiting world-renowned venues.

Take your family and friends to a gastronomic adventure. How do you avail of this event? An option is to call the restaurant and let them know you're interested in making a lunch or dinner reservation during their special Summer Restaurant Week event.

Or, for your convenience, click on this link and reserve a table online via OpenTable.com. Not sure which restaurant is taking part? Don't worry, you'll find the whole database in alphabetical order by venue name. Click on a few links and see which ones pique your curiosity.

The Capital Grille

How about some American entrees at the Capital Grille? With branches at the Chrysler Center and the Time Life Building at midtown Manhattan, plus the Financial District, this may be the best choice for the perfect steak.

Porcini Delmonico will satiate the carnivore in your group.

Spice Market

If you're seeking a flavorful experience with Southeast Asian fare, take a stroll to Spice Market at 403 West 13th Street in the Meatpacking District.

Head to Spice Market for Malaysian fare.

Kutcher's Tribeca

For dinner, try Kutscher's Tribeca at 186 Franklin Street for contemporary American dishes including potato latkes, wild bass and a cookie platter.

Since there are so many options, when using OpenTable.com, narrow your search results by checking off the box next to the neighborhood that you want. To help with your decision-making process, browse through links to menus provided by most restaurants. Keep in mind that the event takes place on weekdays, although some venues are also offering their special pricing on Sundays.

Look at the possibilities, and if it's too difficult to finalize your picks, perhaps you'll need to dine at another restaurant (or two).
