The Holiday Inn on Flinders Street is opening up their rooftop pool to the public for a pool party. You can head up for a 'cool' afternoon of free-flowing drinks and a sausage sizzle at their Rooftop Poolside Terrace.
This is the first, but hopefully not the last time their rooftop pool will be open to the general public.
Enjoy the warm summer sun and unwind with a cool drink. Enjoy the sausage sizzle on the astroturfed area beside the vibrant outdoor blue-tiled pool.
There will be great tunes playing and you can either go for a swim or just dip your toes in while you enjoy the refreshments. There will be free-flowing drinks (beer, wine, cider and soft drinks) and a sausage sizzle.
Attire: Summer wear and bathers if you would like to take a dip in the pool.
Places are limited, so you do need to reserve a place. Tickets through
Eventbrite.
Cost: $40.00
This is a plus18 event and management reserves the right to refuse entry in accordance with liquor licensing laws to persons under the age of 18 years and/or without valid identification.
You must have a ticket to enter.

It is worth knowing that kids under 12 Stay and Eat Free. The Holiday Inn on Flinders is located in the free tram zone which makes it easy to get to places such as the Queen Victoria Market and the Royal Botanical Gardens.
Melbourne hotels are becoming so innovative. One of my favourites is the nearby
Treasury on Collins which was the first hotel in Melbourne to offer free wifi and also offers guests free Netflix, free afternoon drinks, and all day snacks.
The other hotel pool open to the public in the CBD is the Adelphi in Flinders Lane. It has the famous swimming pool that juts out over Flinders Lane. As a pedestrian, you look up and see guests swimming laps nine storeys above you through the clear glass bottom.
Here is the link on how you too can have a swim there as the Adelphi offers public access (for a price). This pool is heated in winter and is available for swimming all year around.
So many great things to do in Melbourne, especially if you read WeekendNotes and find out about them.
