Both City of Stonnington and Hobsons Bay City Council have unveiled their live music programs for summer 2015. Both feature a great lineup of local acts and both are FREE to attend and enjoy.

If you're planning a summer in the city, then these gigs should be marked on the calendar as a must-do. There is simply nothing better than a balmy summer's night spent under the stars, with your local community, bopping along to some live music.

Hobsons Bay are producing Summer Sounds at two locations: Commonwealth Reserve, Williamstown, and Logan Reserve, Altona. Primarily featuring blues, folk and the classics, this will be the ninth consecutive year for the popular program.

The music starts at 2pm on the dates below. You're encouraged to bring a picnic, sunscreen, and a deckchair. This is no ordinary council music jam; with headliners including The Pierce Brothers, Miss Murphy and Chris Wilson, these events are sure to bring in a diverse crowd and keep everyone up and dancing until long after the sun has set.

Sessions are:
