The Big Screen at
Fed Square , corner of Swanston street opposite Flinders Train Station in the city is lighting up this summer from
15 Jan to 28 Mar 2021 with a stack of classic films! The best part? It's all completely free! The Australia Day long weekend will see a cracking lineup of true Aussie classics including
The Castle, Bran Nue Dae, Muriel's Wedding, Strictly Ballroom, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Australia Daze and
Red Dog. Plus there's the original
Rocky, The Goonies, Little Shop of Horrors, Karate Kid, Stand By Me, Labyrinth, beachy rom-com classic
Splash and more, all lined up for a (hopefully) balmy Melbourne evening.
It's all happening inside
Fed Oasis , so there's comfy seating, shaded areas, environmentally-friendly recycled astroturf, and in-square food and drink delivery. Just order from one of the fabulous restaurants and cafes and you've got a gold-class cinema experience at your fingertips. The mullet has had a resurgence, so if you're sporting one, comb out that mullet for some 80s classics and check out the
schedule here .
