Here is a rundown of the upcoming music festivals, right here in Melbourne and Victoria!

The Falls Music and Arts Festival
December 28, 2010 to January 1, 2011

Located at two sites, Lorne, Victoria and Marion Bay, the Falls Festival is an annual celebration of the local and international music scene - many camp out at this festival and it has a relaxed atmosphere, with comedians, workshops and roving performers. The eclectic line this year includes Interpol, Public Enemy, The National, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, The Living End, Ladyhawke, The Cold War Kids and many more. Tickets are still available.

Pyramid Rock Festival
December 30, 2010 to January 1, 2011

Ring in the new year with the likes of N*E*R*D, The Temper Trap, Arrested Development, Gyroscope, Midnight Juggernauts, Little Red, Miami Horror and many more local and international acts. Featuring two stages, this festival also has an easygoing atmosphere with market stalls and camping, like the Falls Festival. Limited tickets are available.

January 1, 2011

This annual New Year's Day dance party at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, has a stellar line-up including David Guetta, N*E*R*D, Justice, Armand Van Heldon, Chromeo, Boys Noize and many more. The fun starts at 9am! Tickets are still available via Ticketmaster.

Big Day Out
January 30, 2011

This one is sold out but you may be able to catch the sideshows of the line up, which includes Tool, Rammstein, Iggy and the Stooges, M.I.A, John Butler Trio, Sia, Wolfmother Plan B, Lupe Fiasco, and more.

St. Jeromes Laneway Festival
5 February, 2011

Hosted a the Footscray Community Arts Centre, the line for this festival includes Cloud Control, Cut Copy, !!! (Chk Chk Chk), Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti, Foals, Gotye and many more. This event is sold out.

St Kilda Festival
13 February, 2011

This one is free and there will be 60 bands performing. The line-up is yet to be completely revealed, so far the line-up includes Tim Finn, Hungry Kids Of Hungary, Kimbra, Paris Wells, Kate Vigo, Stonefield and The Vaudeville Smash, but keep a lookout on Facebook in January for all the details. This festival is family friendly, as there is much childrens entertainment and activities in and around the St Kilda site.

Good Vibrations
13 February, 2011

Flemington Racecourse plays host to the upcoming Good Vibrations festival, which includes the impressive international and local line-up of Phoenix, Faithless, Nas and Damien Marley, Kelis, The Ting Tings, Mike Snow, Erykah Badu and many more. Tickets are still on sale for this event.

Port Fairy Folk Festival
1114 March, 2011

Head to the sea-side village of Port Fairy for this event, which is hosting international and local acts such as Mary Black, Luka Bloom, Dark Horses, Christof, Alaska, Kasey Chambers and many more. Tickets are now on sale for this event.

Golden Plains
1214 March, 2011

This annual festival, located at The Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre is playing host to some acclaimed guests, such as Belle and Sebastian, Architecture in Helsinki, Pulled Apart by Horses, Imelda May, The Clean, Robert Forster, Os Mutantes and many more. Tickets are now on sale for this event.

Brunswick Music Festival
1627 March, 2011

Apollo Bay Music Festival
810 April, 2011

This festival, in what will be it's 19th year is hosting several international and local acts including Charles Neville and Youssoupha Sidibe, Bomba, Vika Bull, The Fumes, Backsliders, Van Walker, Ponyface, Charles Jenkins and more. Tickets are on sale for this event.
