The City of Boroondara has recently announced its
Summer Music program, which offers three free concerts to suit all ages and musical tastes. These concerts will take place in three different locations in the Boroondara area from
6.00 - 9.00pm on Saturday 6th, 13th and 20th February 2016.

You are encouraged to bring a picnic, your dog (on a short leash), pillows and blankets, and kick back to listen to this great range of free entertainment.
Food and non-alcoholic drinks will be available for sale (you can BYO alcohol if you wish).
The first concert on
6th February takes place at
Beckett Park, Balwyn (enter from Parring Road). The strong lineup for this concert is:
- soul singer Emma Donovan and The Putbacks
- young dynamic Melbourne musician Tash Sultana, and
- Melbourne blues band, The Houndlings.

Second up, on
13th February, you can hear the following artists at
St James Park, Hawthorn:
- three brothers and two mates make up The Vaudeville Smash, who promise 'an explosion of funk, flute, sax, synth and groove'
- the soulful Do Yo Thangs, and
- the evocative Gena Rose Bruce.

In the final concert of the series, on
20th February at the
Canterbury Gardens, you will be carried on an eclectic journey through some of opera's well-known and classic favourites.
Karen Van Spall and
Adam Miller will lead the audience through an evening of whimsy, romance and high drama.
