For short courses in virtually anything you can't go past the CAE. They offer courses in 21 different languages from Arabic to Vietnamese and many of them run over the summer period. Classes are generally held in the city centre, though some are offered through Box Hill TAFE in Melbourne's East.

Fees start from $310 and classes are run in either day or evening blocks between 14-23 January 2014. Choose from German, Italian, French, Arabic and Russian.
