Friday night is party time
The East End - Adelaide's premier Shopping District
Centred on Ebenezer Place, the East End precinct extends to the surrounding side streets where you can find quirky cafes and bohemian bars - even Burger Theory mixing it with clothing stores and pubs. And it needn't all be expensive - Le Carpe Diem even made it into our top 12 cheap eats in Adelaide.
But it's on a Friday night that the East End really blossoms, as people flock in from the suburbs and city workers look for a place to party after a long hard week. Like moths to a lantern the punters are pulled into the East End, and Splash Adelaide's launch of the latest season of Summer Fridays in the East End from November 15 will turn the trickle into a flood.
Once again Ebenezer Place in the East End will come alive with wandering performers to entertain you, life sized games to puzzle you, and pop up food and drink vendors to tantalise and tempt you. And if that doesn't excite you then check out the cutting edge market stalls to complement the cool contingent of stores already resident in the East End.
East End Providore is One of the Newer Shops in Adelaide's East End
So take a stroll down from the packed end of the mall up trendy Rundle Street, and don't get sidetracked by the alluring odours wafting on the breeze as you wander the cafe strip. They will still be there after you have seen what's on offer at Summer Fridays in the East End. If you're still hungry.
Final details of dates and activities for this season are yet to be sorted, but keep an eye on the Facebook page to get all the gossip on what's on in Adelaide's East End each week during Summer Fridays in the East End. Who knows, you may even see our writer Natasha with her popular Cupcake Table back again this year!
