Cruise the high seas with 25% discounts, perfect
We have all seen images of enormous cruise ships and for some people: the bigger the better. Perhaps you have even been on one of these huge cruise liners.
Some people might prefer a slightly smaller experience. A more intimate cruise, where they are able to stroll around the deck without needing to take the running shoes to get from one end of the deck to the other.
There now is such a cruise liner available.
Starting in December 2013 we will see a 620 passenger ship - the Astor. Freemantle is set to offer 15 new cruises on the Astor.
The cruises will depart from Freemantle in Western Australia. It is the first ship to be based in Australia by its owners the UK-based Cruise Company - Cruise and maritime voyages, they will also open a dedicated sales office in Sydney.
The Astor had been given an $18.6 million facelift in 2010. It has seven passenger decks, five lounges, four restaurants, a sports deck with a golf driving range and two swimming pools.
In the past really enormous cruise liners have been the norm but now there is a niche market for these mid sized ships and the Astor fits the bill.
Astor will shortly be releasing their 2013 - 2014 summer itineraries which will offer a total of 15 different cruises, including a 65 night Grand Round Australian Circumnavigation and a 24 night Far East Delights Cruise.
This cruise ship is scheduled to arrive in Fremantle from Rome on 11th December 2013 - all ready for the 2013 - 2014 summer cruising season.
Currently they are offering fare discounts of up to 25% on the full published prices and these fare discounts will be available for a limited number of twin and single cabin bookings made before 15th May 2013.
