Summer by the Sea - Free Activities Along the Victorian Coast

Department of Environment and Primary Industries (DEPI) and Parks Victoria along with Coastcare Victoria and the Corangamite Catchment Management Authority have put together a range of over 300 free activities to be enjoyed this summer as part of the
Summer by the Sea program.
The program is being held between the
2 - 26 January 2014 at various locations throughout Victorian Parks and coastal regions.
Port Phillip and the Westernport Region and the
Gippsland Region include :
1. Twighlight Beach Walk at St Kilda
2. Geology Rocks at Phillip Island, San Remo
3. Cheetham Wetlands Bird Tour at Point Cook
4. Sea Shell Safari and Fishcare at Mordialloc
5. Snorkelling and Rockpool Ramble at Beaumaris
6. Seagrass Discovery at Port Welshpool
7. Dinosaur Digs at Inverloch and Kilcunda
8. Spotlight Walk at Lake Tyers
9. Lakes Environment Boat Tour
10.Beachcombing Discovery at Seaspray, Venus Bay
Around the
South West and South West Victoria Border region, activities include:
1. Penguin Encounters at Port Campbell National Park
2. Come and Try Snorkelling
3. Clifftop Walk and Beach Activities at Warrnambool
4. Gellibrand Estuary and Beach Walk at Princetown
5. Fossil Safari at Anglesea
Some of the activities above are part of the
Parks Victoria Junior Rangers Program . The activities are a fun way to experience the outdoors, be with nature and learn something new.
