Enjoy Tasty Food at Gilles at the Grounds Market Stalls
Gilles at the Grounds: The BazaarDecember 1-2 The Christmas season brings a proliferation of markets to help you find Christmas gifts. The regular dog friendly Gilles at the Grounds markets in the old Brick Dairy are ramping up with a special whole weekend long market from 12-9pm on Saturday and 10-4pm on Sunday in December. With the usual lines of fashion, interiors, vintage and artisan goods on sale, there's bound to be something for you and your besties. Why not make a day of it, there's loads of food and free live entertainment too.
On Saturday December 1, KYD-X and Lifetime Support Authority are hosting Sounds & Vibes an all ages, outdoor music festival celebrating the International Day of People with Disability. The festival will be held at the Hamilton Boulevard (in the shadow of the Ferris Wheel) at the Adelaide Showground, from 2pm to 11pm.
While Sounds & Vibes Music Festival caters particularly for people living with a disability, everyone is welcome - the goal is to ensure all music festivals are made accessible for everyone.

Santa's WonderlandDecember 7-24 Santa's Wonderland comes alive at Adelaide Showground with an extravagant range of amazing amusement rides, spectacular Christmas stage shows, a magnificent ice skating rink and tobogganing slides and the Christmas activity trail. Your tickets get you three hours of fun filled family memories that will delight your children.
You get to visit traditional family Christmas Land, play in the Ice Wonderland, thrill the kids with a stop in Candyland, get unlimited free amusement rides, then follow Santa's Wonderland Activity Trail. For more info about what's included and what's not, see the event overview.

Gilles at the Grounds: The Xmas EditDecember 16 If you haven't got all your Christmas presents lined up by now, you must be getting nervous. Never fear, Gilles at the Grounds is back with their huge free markets in Adelaide Showgrounds - if you can't find a Christmas gift here, then you might have to resort to a voucher.
SciWorld Pop-Up Science CentreJanuary 15-17 SciWorld is back at the Showgrounds with another three hour session of hands-on science fun for kids. Let them explore the solar system, and learn about energy and forces during the science show. Spend 45 minutes learning in one of the workshops: Insects and Bugs; See Hear; State of Matter; or Rocks and Minerals. Then test your science skills on the Questacon exhibits afterwards.

Adelaide Showground comes alive with earsplitting thrills when Loadex Hire's Monster Truck Rumble returns, creating havoc in the neighbourhood for one night only. It's on Saturday February 9th 2019, with tickets at 2018 prices - the Pit Party is included with every ticket.
This event brings fans to the edge of their seats with sky wheelies, side by side racing and the ever-popular freestyle competitions which are sure to challenge both man and machine. The family friendly alcohol free event is an action packed night with a huge line up of additional arena entertainment and a Kids Zone including rides and displays.
Adelaide Showground Farmers' MarketEvery Sunday The free Adelaide Farmers Market is almost a religion for many people. Every Sunday it's time to pick up fresh fruit and vegetables, get some plant seedlings for the garden, and top it off by treating yourself with a bite to eat and freshly brewed coffee.
