It's summertime but that doesn't mean that the events at the Adelaide Showgrounds stop. Instead they continue, and summer sees another great collection of events that will please Mums, Dads, kids and any of the other relatives that you may wish to come along with you.
Kicking off summer, and with only three weeks left before Santa arrives, the Xmas Gift & Craft Fair hits the Showgrounds in a flurry. If you are stuck for gifts, or are looking for those unique and special stocking fillers, then head down and pick up some of these handmade, unusual and unique gifts for your loved ones.
If you like your sport fast, furious, loud and sideways, then the Sidchrome Extreme Rallycross is for you. Fans, drivers and party-goers alike will be treated to two days extreme action with wheel-to-wheel racing, huge jumps and fast paced action.
Summer Bridal Ideas Expo (16 January - 17 January)
2016 starts off with the largest and best wedding event in South Australia known as the Summer Bridal Ideas Expo. For two packed days, brides and grooms, and possibly mothers-in-law, can contemplate and plan their future summer wedding. The Summer Bridal Ideas event is the ideal place to plan your wedding and brings the best of the best under one roof, so you can view the products, speak directly to the experts, watch the Runway Bridal Fashion Show, find the best deal and then sit back and enjoy the lead up to your big day.

Carnevale is a centuries old Christian tradition and is the last celebration before Ash Wednesday and the austere 40 days of Lent. Carnevale is celebrated all over the world with masked balls, parades, popular theatre, songs, entertainment, folk dancers and other activities, and Adelaide is no different. Carnevale brings Italy to the doorstep of the Showgrounds where you can enjoy the warmth and hospitality Italians are famous for.
February 13th sees eight of the world's best Monster Trucks invade the Adelaide Showground with a brand new and unseen show. For the first time ever Adelaide fans can witness one-on-one freestyle elimination battles, as the Americans try to prove their dominance over Australian drivers. Gates open at 4.30pm with a photo opportunities at the Pit Party from 5.30pm.

Let's Go Caravan & Camping Lifestyle Show (17 February - 21 February)
For five fantastic days in late February, the annual Caravan and Camping Lifestyle Show returns to the Showgrounds with all the latest and greatest in terms of caravans, camping and outdoor lifestyles. Featuring all the traditional favourites such as the giant all-age kids zone, this year's show promises to be bigger and better than ever.

We've all heard about those massive fruit flinging fights that occur in other parts of the world, but now its Adelaide's turn for the ultimate Tomato Battle. Up to 5,000 fruit fans will gather for an afternoon of dancing to music, sipping libations, and flinging 300,000 Roma tomatoes at one another. Bringing new meaning to the term "mosh pit", this is sure to be one juicy event.
And for visitors to the Showgrounds this summer, why not get there are little earlier, and pay a visit to the Wayville Vintage Market in the Dairy Hall at the Showgrounds every Saturday and Sunday from 10am until 3pm, or perhaps visit the Adelaide Showground Farmers Market from 9am to 1pm on Sundays.
