Sumatra Café is found in Central Arcade. Central Arcade can be found as a small entranceway off the Smith Street Mall and will take you through to Austin Lane. Sumatra Café is small and has ample seating around it. Being inside, it is also always air-conditioned, so it's a good place to keep out of the heat. It is always kept clean.



It is run by a local Territorian couple and it's food hails from Sumatra. You'll find when you go past at lunchtime that there are many people sitting in the surrounding seats. The bain-marie shows what dishes are available on the day. The service is quick. They also have a menu that gets cooked fresh for you if you don't want a meal from the bain-marie. It's a good local haunt for lunchtime office workers and tradies.
