Suited to Success hold regular monthly sales so they can raise money for their career and personal development programs. This month it will be bigger than usual with their end of financial year sale on. This special event will be held on Saturday 25th June from 7:30pm to 1:30pm and Sunday 26th June 2016 from 8:30am to 12:30.

I must admit I wasn't a fan of second hand clothes, but shopping at Suited to Success has converted me. All of the donated clothes are sorted into different categories and they only accept good quality clothes which you could wear to work. Anything which doesn't make the cut is passed on to another charity.



The better quality clothes can be found in the Boutique area upstairs. Here you will find outfits suitable for interviews and office work wear. This area is only open to the public on sale days. There are a number of change rooms where you can try the items of clothing on.

Downstairs in the retail area you can find clothes suitable for every day work wear along with a range of other items. This area is open to the public whenever Suited to Success is open and has a high turnover. There is one small change room located here. From experience, I have found it best to try things on or take along a tape measure with your written down measurements.



Suited to Success has recently expanded their range to include some designer stock. These start from $20 and include shoes, boots and coats for winter. The large majority of clothing items on sale are only five dollars. You can also purchase three accessories for five dollars.

From previous visits to Success to Success I have purchased a range of different clothes suitable for office work at a good price. I have purchased preloved shirts from brands like Cue and Country Road and skirts from Veronika Maine and Piper. I have bought second hand dresses from Katies, Witchery and Sportscraft. For winter I purchased two jackets - a black Esprit one and a blue Banana Republic one.

Suited to Success have a fantastic collection of jewellery to rummage through. I found a stripy purple scarf for winter and an evening clutch in perfect condition.

Suited to Success is located at 47 Anderson Street in Fortitude Valley. They happily accept good quality donations suitable for work. Pop into their next monthly sale to get yourself a bargain and refresh your wardrobe for the new season.

Suited to Success assists long term unemployed and disadvantaged individuals become independent and self-sufficient.
