Event:
How many hand crafted goodies can 3 suitcases hold?
Suitcase Rummage is back in Sydney with a new permanent location at Belmore Park (opposite Central Station) in Sydney's CBD. In case you missed it last year in Camperdown, Suitcase Rummage is similar to a car boot sale but for handmade items. Think Etsy at a market! Stallholders are allowed to fill up to three suitcases full of their handcrafted wares. The market will be running every second month with their first market being held on Sunday, 26th March from 11am to 4pm.

Suitcase Rummage is designed to be a market without the fuss - hence the suitcases. No complicated stall setups that take hours with trailer loads of stock. That means you get access to talented craftspeople at Suitcase Rummage who don't produce en masse and you are more likely to find yourself a bespoke treasure!

Secondhand and locally handmade or hand-crafted is the go at Suitcase rummage - mass produced or imported goods are not allowed. Expect to see vintage, artwork, bric-a-brac, clothing, books, jewellery, seconds, hand-made, shoes, records, music, badges, cards, handmade paper .. and any other items the brilliant stallholders come up with!

The Suitcase Rummage concept has already taken off elsewhere in the country with Melbourne and Brisbane hosting regular events. It is so popular in Brisbane they hold it twice a month. Fingers crossed it takes off in Sydney as this is a great opportunity for market-goers and stallholders alike. So come along to Suitcase Rummage and perhaps find yourself a wonderful hand-crafted bargain. Friendly old-fashioned haggling and swapping is encouraged too.

If you would like to be a stallholder at Suitcase Rummage, the cost is $25 which includes public liability insurance. Stall spaces vary in size, but they are roughly the size of a picnic mat or 1.5m X 1m. Registrations are now open and can be made online.
