A fabulous rummage sale to buy or sell
Suitcases Rummage sales are, for me, an exciting event! I find looking through cases full of goods not knowing what they can have inside are extremely inviting!
This organisation will be set up outside the Town Hall in Civic Square. They will have all their usual Rummage friends plus some new ones. These include handmade and second-hand stalls, ready to recycle, upcycle and thrift!
It will be on Sunday 25th August 2019 from 11.00 am to 4.000 pm and it will be at Northcote Town Hall Arts Centre, 189 High Street, Northcote.
They are partnering up with the stellar crew behind What She Makes from Oxfam. This project is committed to fair and ethical fashion - and this is one thing that they are in full support! Join the campaign and together you will help fight poverty in the fashion industry. Stand with the women who make our clothes. Make sure that you add your name to demand big brands pay a living wage.
If you want to do this, sort your things into sell, keep and trash and that way you will know what you can take to the garage rummage sale.
If you are having a rummage sale, make sure that you price each item, so that people who look through them all re able to know the price without having to ask you each time.
Suitcase Rummage is what is called a mini scaled market that has huge rewards. It promises to be everything that is a market but without the hassle. It's about bringing a suitcase or even two to be filled to the very top with your goods and treasures that you no longer need.
You can be a part of the Rummage experience by selling wares or come along just to buy some real rummage sale specials. It is also a good idea if you have several of one thing - e.g. DVD, to band them together and that way makes them cheaper, and therefore sell more.
In other words, before you can sell your stuff, you need to uncover it, which of course means decluttering. You will need to go through all of your personal possessions over a period of several months possibly, setting aside boxes for the rummage sale.
There will be fabulous vintage, artwork, bric-a-brac, clothing, books, jewellery, seconds, hand-made, shoes, records, music, badges, cards, handmade paper... just about everything that you can think of, will be there.
Come on down for a bargain, a swap, or even an old fashioned negotiator. Suitcase Rummage is one that is not to be missed!
You must register to sell your wares, so please click here and find the location you would like to attend. Organisers will contact you with further information once you've registered. It is free to attend as a browser, buyer or a rummager!
