Buy some great goods out of a suitcase sale
Suitcase rummages are such fun. I love going through cases and boxes of goods and finding what are, to me, treasures. To the person selling, it is unwanted or unused goods and to me, it is a thrill to find something I am interested in. It is an even greater thrill when, on the odd occasion, I have found something that I collect in amongst a whole lot of other things! What excitement - what a rush of adrenalin!
Suitcase Rummage is setting up their suitcases in Brisbane City! In case you don't know, Suitcase Rummage is a mini scaled market with huge rewards. It promises to be everything that a market is but without any of the hassles.
The next rummage sale will be on 7th April 2019 and it will be held at Brisbane Square from 12 noon to 5.00 pm.
This suitcase rummage is all about bringing a suitcase (or two!) filled right to the brim with all sorts of goodies that you no longer require. You can be a part of the rummage experience by selling goods or you can come along to buy some of these treasures.
There is sure to be some brilliant vintage goods, artwork, bric-a-brac, clothing, books, jewellery, seconds, handmade, shoes, records, music, badges, cards, handmade paper and so on and so on. You name it - it will be there!
Come along to catch a real bargain, a swap, or as John Cleese would say, just an old-fashioned haggle. Suitcase Rummage is one market that you do not want to miss.
You must register to sell your goods so please go to this link to book in online. The organisers will contact you with further information once you've registered.
After that, the next step is to bring out your treats and goodies on the day and start selling like there is no tomorrow. The event is FREE to attend either as a seller or a buyer, so what is stopping you?
They also wanted this to be a testing ground for emerging entrepreneurs to test their goods on the market before going into one of the bigger markets.
At their first even in 2010, they had a massive 60 sellers turn up and lots of buyers. Since then, there has been so much wonderful support from the different local communities that Suitcase Rummage has now grown to be a regular, monthly event in Brisbane and Melbourne.
