A dazzling space has recently opened their doors on Hindley Street and goes by the name . Walk in to this shop and you won't help but find a newfound appreciation for the 80s flair that resonates within.

Located in the West End side of Hindley Street by the G U Filmhouse, opened their doors to the public in early October and has quickly gained popularity for being "creative-friendly" and "all-inclusive". Taking a step out of her comfort zone, Tash decided to inject a colourful sense of life into this project, which offers customers with the opportunity to own something that is handmade, unique, and bold.

Offering a space where creatives can not only feel alive, but also be encouraged to dare and to create something extraordinary, by Natasha Evele (aka Calamity Tash) aims to bring all the colours of the rainbow together in one very cozy setting to create a beautiful, vibrant mess that works in favour of today's fashion trends.

"We're all about normalising the peculiar here! There's no such thing as "too much", "too bright" or "too weird". We want people to feel comfortable to embrace colour and step away from the trends." - Natasha Evele,

A Renew Adelaide-funded project , aims to break down any barriers around unleashing one's creative concept and allows customers to experience a studio where the only limit is their imagination! Look around the brightly coloured and decorated space and you'll find loads of quirky items and products that have either been created for you or are waiting to be put together for something new, unique, and exciting to add to your home.

It's okay to feel an abundance of emotions, as you make your way through this quaint studio. Whether you're looking for pre-made gifts such as the plant-studded Pot Heads, tinsel tassel earrings, studded jackets, and handmade headpieces, or simply need to find a creative outlet for yourself, there's no doubt that you will find something that is gift-worthy and a one-of-a-kind here.

For those who are looking to give their creative selves a voice in art form, there are two events that might interest you:

Stitch n Bitch – A fortnightly event that costs only $10, where customers can drop in at on Thursday nights between 6pm-9pm and bring any kind of project that they are working on, or alternatively, learn some new skills from other creatives in-house.

Craftanoon – A monthly event, where customers can make their own headpiece / crochet piece, bedazzled sunnies / learn how to perfect the concept of drag makeup.

Additionally, is also open to hosting a number of events, such as kids parties, work functions, and hens nights (to name a few).

Complementing Tash's craftsmanship that pushes creative boundaries out the window, is so much more than a shop front and allows you as the customer to have a sense of creative control with the available resources at the store that can be used to create something magical and unique.

As Tash says, "If you can dream it, I can make it."

is located by the G U Filmhouse on Hindley Street. Follow them on Facebook and Instagram for the latest updates and upcoming events.
