Stuart Devlin: The Designer with the Midas is a free exhibition held at the Royal Australian Mint in Deakin. Stuart Devlin, originally from Geelong in Victoria, is the designer of Australia's decimal coins and he then went on to design coins for 30 other countries. This exhibition displays the fine craftsmanship of his work over the last 50 years of his career. View original sketches from 1965 when he designed Australia's coins, the plasters he worked on and exquisite gold and silver creations from his own collection. Inside the exhibition, view his stunning handcrafted candelabrum, which is the centrepiece of his iconic place setting.

This exhibition is open every day (except Christmas Day) at The Royal Australian Mint: 8:30am - 5pm weekdays, 10am - 4pm weekends.

Whilst at the Royal Australian Mint, view the coin factory from the viewing platform, read the factory touchscreens, learn about coin history in Australia and wander the National Coin Collection. During the school holidays, pick up a free activity book for the kids or they can enjoy colouring in upstairs in the gallery.
