If you love an old fashioned school fete, you'll love on Saturday May 17th.

The school is shaking things up this year by having their fete on a Saturday after traditionally holding the fete straight after church on a Sunday. By holding the community fete on a Saturday it means that the fete can run later in the day, kicking off at 11am and running until 8pm. This takes into account the community's busy sporting calendar and other family commitments but also adds the excitement of after-dark activities that will doubtless make 2014& #8242 ;s fete live on in the children's memories for years to come.

The later time slot also offers more opportunity to enjoy some of the 'international cuisine' that will be another difference this May. Food stalls include Indian, Italian, Japanese as well as more traditional hot dogs, BBQ and fairly floss. The classic XXXX beer tent has been sponsored by The Story Bridge Hotel once again and the Champagne Bar will no doubt be popular for a sundowner with the mums.

The cake stall will be joined by a deli stall demonstrating a wide range of culinary treats made at home as will the Sweets stall. Children can decorate their own cakes , lob some choc and slurp Rainbow Smash before hitting the fairground rides and climbing wall. Toddlers have been catered for with a special Kiddie Korner that includes a Jumping Castle, face painting, Crazy Hair and other gentler activities whilst more adventurous children can enjoy limitless fun on the fairground rides which include the Swizzler, Flying Chairs, a Giant Slippery Dip, rock climbing walls and more. Rides can be paid for individually or you can purchase a wrist band which entitles the wearer to rides all day long.

The fete is open to the whole community so come along and purchase some delicious home-cooked treats, let the kids go wild on the green and relax with your neighbours – all for a good cause!
