Hundreds of people will walk (make that, strut) down Martin Place on December 5 in nothing but their swimwear for the annual Strut the Streets, an event to support AIME mentoring. It has been running for five years now and if you haven't take the time to support the cause before, do it this year, because it will be the final walk. And it's making sure it goes out with a bang.
Registration costs $50.00 or $100.00, depending on how much you want to cover up (packages including boardshorts and kaftans are the more expensive options). The price gets you your smugglers (or smuglees) and covers entry into an after party at the Ivy Bar. Interested? You can register here.
The money raised by Strut the Streets not only comes from registrations but also from additional fundraising by participants once they have signed up. It all goes towards AIME's goal to engage 10,000 Indigenous high school students around the country each year by in the next few years, and help them to finish school.
