Streets Alive and Parade Day is one of the major highlights of the Blacktown City Festival, and this year, a vibrant array of colour and action will be out in full force. Community groups will demonstrate the City's rich and diverse multicultural community, and it's a great event to bring everyone together to celebrate community spirit.
The Parade will start at the Warrick Lane Car Park, Blacktown at 11am on Saturday 25 May 2019 and will take approximately 45 mins to complete the parade route. There'll be vibrant floats and displays as well as activities including Tee Time-Mini golf on the Village Green. Australian Idol winner Stan Walker will put on a spectacular performance at 1pm on the main stage, plus there'll be roving entertainment in the CBD (Fluchombe Road, Main Street and Campbell Street, Blacktown) area.
Key highlights for this year's event aside from the parade at 11am (you can download the Parade Day Map HERE) are FREE Rides, Food Precinct on the Village Green and 6 Performance Stages. Performances and activities, art and craft stalls, animal displays, dog shows, wildlife displays, roving entertainment and more will bring the streets alive for the whole family to enjoy. Grab a bite to eat at the food truck and dessert section when you start feeling those hunger pangs.
There's always something happening in Blacktown. Check the event page for a full listing of amazing events and programs they have running for the rest of 2019.
