Up and coming Brisbane Artists exhibit their work
"Street Squad", a visual art exhibition, will be held on 13th February at Crowbar, New Farm Brisbane. The exhibition is a collection of work which includes visual art, craft, photography, design, paste-ups, street art, animation and live music all packed into a one-night event. The event, which is being run by The Brisbane Collective, is promoting the work of emerging and mid career Brisbane artists.

The Brisbane Collective was cofounded by Megan Starr-Thomas, a graphic designer, and Jeff Paton, who is the technical brains of the business. Exhibitions have been run since 2013 with expanding interest each year

You may or may not know some of the artists whose work will be exhibited on the night. Names include Kasper, Barek, Harley & Handen, Cross Stitch of Contemp, Jordon Wearn, Sloe Morton, Cronk and Tonic, Kimi Schieren, PhilB, Teens on Acid, Jetta's Nest, Winter of '72, Anna Elizabeth, Rebecca Giles Art, Crow Jane, Sarah Sculley, Juxtafied Airbrushing, Luke Henery, Violet Mermaid, Spencer Dickens, James Hornsby, Urban Pic-xie, Balazovablack, and Vivid Black Artistry.

Live music sets are from Lita and the Bird, Emmy Hour Music and Reichelt. A review detailing each artist's style is located under the TBC Artists tab on their webpage. Or if you want to contribute to this or future exhibitions a form can be filled out under the Contact tab.

Membership is available or you may wish to subscribe to their magazine,To be Continued, which is delivered to your door four times a year. Membership is $50 per annum.

Some work will be for sale on the night so it would be good to get there early to view all work so no one else beats you to your purchase.

Doors open at 6.00pm and the event runs until 10.00pm. Tickets are available through The Brisbane Collective. A link to ticket purchase can be located on their Facebook page or on The Brisbane Collective website.
