I am an academic and writer living in Melbourne. I love to travel and I also love writing about all the things Melbourne, regional Victoria and other parts of Australia have to offer.
Fun Urban Creatures

Are you ready to have some fun with these guys? Overgrown, quirky, funny oversized puppets called Street Skeeters are coming!

Next Sunday 25 November, the Museum Plaza will come alive as Memetica creatures roam and perform! Cute and a bit scary at the same time these creatures and their talented puppeteers will be performing at 11:30 am and 12:30 pm.

Not just for kids but for grown-ups too, these very large puppets have performed at many venues and theatres. Who knows what the Street Skeeters characters will be up on the day but be assured that you will be mesmerised by them. Skeeters are quick and playful and live in Melbourne's streets and move to their own way of life among locals, tourists and visitors.

In partnership with Creative Victoria, the City of Melbourne and Disability Sports and Recreation, Street Skeeters and their bold, creative and inclusive physical theatre is something not to be missed and best of all it's free!
