When heading out and about in Perth, we are often left pondering where to enjoy a meal around whatever else we are planning for the evening.

Prior to enjoying a Fringe show, a friend of mine and I decided to try a meal at the at Yagan Square. The restaurant is a little hidden away place down Horseshoe Lane on the Roe Street side of Yagan Square.

is the culmination of great experiences and a love for authentic street food. The best food found while travelling is never in a sophisticated restaurant, but on the street. Found in carts, out of small windows, in tiny, out-of-the-way spots. I had already reviewed the food menu before we arrived and we agreed on the Street Eats Grazing Platter - a selection of five items off the appetizer menu, randomly selected by the chef. Our platter included Sticky Lamb Ribs, Bao Buns, Chibba's Spiced Fried Chicken, Louisiana Style Hot & Spicy Buffalo Wings and Arancini Balls with crusty bread. Now for the two of us, this very generous serving was a little much but so very tasty - so much so that we both struggled to stop eating before we hit bursting point!

Along with the tasty food, I enjoyed the Green Hawaiian cocktail - very fruity and very tasty. If cocktails aren't your thing, they have a selection of beers, wine and spirits you can order instead.

If you are looking for somewhere new to try for a meal, I can definitely recommend - they also have a restaurant in Fremantle along with the Yagan Square one we visited.
