From your starting point outside the 7-11 at Federation Square, you will be whisked from laneway to laneway, and shown arcades and galleries filled with breathtaking pieces. Some of the more famous locations you will have heard of, others are more obscure. The tour takes you through the city and concludes at the Blender Studios, Melbourne's premier hub for serious street artistry. Here you will see artists at work in the eighteen studio complex, located appropriately beside a beautifully decorated laneway.

The tours take place every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday afternoon, from 1:30pm to 5:00pm, and are guided by artists. Depending on when you go, you will be taken through Melbourne's laneways under the expert guidance of Makatron, Michael Fikaris, or Daniel Lynch of Junky Projects. Designed by street artists and altered when needed to reflect the changing nature of graffiti, the tour promises an authentic look into their craft.
With a limit of twelve people per tour, the experience is quite an intimate one and you will get the chance to ask the guide any questions you may have.
The tours cost $69 per person, and include a beer, wine or soft drink of your choice, and light refreshments following the tour. Booking is essential and payment is required beforehand. Contact details for Street Art Tours can be found here.
