Impromptu adventuring, exploring our backyard and then putting pen to paper, hoping to entice you to try one, if not all, of our escapades, is my true reward!

'Thanks for Yumming'
Well, it's that season again - what season I hear you say - strawberry picking season! Yah, for strawberries - who doesn't love yummy strawberries?
Strawberry Fields is a beautifully maintained strawberry farm on the Sunshine Coast, where you get to choose: pick your own (PYO) or pop in to buy your strawberries pre-packed to enjoy at home with cream or ice-cream.
Teaching little people how to pick
To pick your own the present prices are $16 per kg, but it really is your choice whether you pick a whole kilogram or choose to only half-fill your tub and get charged accordingly.
It really is a wonderful place to visit to get back in touch with nature, enjoying the sun outdoors with the children frolicking about in the hay or at the playground, while parents can sit back and enjoy their strawberry milkshake, ice-cream or an assortment of delectable strawberry treats on offer; chocolate-dipped gourmet strawberries, parfaits and pancakes, all available at the Strawberry Fields Cafe. A healthy lunch menu is also on offer.
For a fun, healthy family outing, you would be hard pressed to find anything to compete, it's just so yum….
Strawberry Fields on the Sunshine Coast is open seven days a week from 8.00 am to 4.30 pm. There is a second Strawberry Fields location in Stanthorpe, Queensland, located near the border of QLD and NSW, but their PYO season only commences in October.
