This park ticks all the boxes
Nestled between Homebush Road and Chalmers Road Strathfield, the site Strathfield Park is on was originally a private golf course. It was also requisitioned by the army during WWII when it was used as an army camp.
These days it is a sunny haven for picnic goers, exercisers and children to co-exist in wide-open spaces.
The park boasts three playgrounds, one fully fenced in for younger children on the Homebush Road end, another older style one nearby for older players, and an equal access playground on the Chalmers Road end offering play opportunities for children with disabilities.
There are three soccer fields, two basketball/netball courts, two netball/volleyball courts, multiple picnic facilities including BBQs and covered tables, a rotunda, jogging paths, a facilities block and a filtered water station to re-fill your water bottle mid-run.
