Nestled between Homebush Road and Chalmers Road Strathfield, the site is on was originally a private golf course. It was also requisitioned by the army during WWII when it was used as an army camp.

These days it is a sunny haven for picnic goers, exercisers and children to co-exist in wide-open spaces.

The park boasts three playgrounds, one fully fenced in for younger children on the Homebush Road end, another older style one nearby for older players, and an equal access playground on the Chalmers Road end offering play opportunities for children with disabilities.

There are three soccer fields, two basketball/netball courts, two netball/volleyball courts, multiple picnic facilities including BBQs and covered tables, a rotunda, jogging paths, a facilities block and a filtered water station to re-fill your water bottle mid-run.

[ADVERT]With plenty of on-street parking on both Homebush Road and Chalmers Road, I would recommend parking on the Chalmers Road end with younger children as Homebush Road is quite busy with traffic.

The local council has done a wonderful job of creating and maintaining a high standard park with plenty of wide-open spaces and points of interest to enhance any get together or fun day out.
