Looking for a new burger joint? Looking for somewhere to hide away for a long lunch break? My response: listen to that inner beast in you and sniff your way to a dungeon in a small, dark alleyway (literally, a small dark alleyway).

Located on Strachan Lane, a flight of stairs down to the basement will lead you a dimly lit underground bar. It's slick, minimalist and simple. Strange Wolf specialises in burgers and it is a place to grab a cider or two. There's a limited selection of burgers and drinks on the menu but if you look at it in a different light, they're mastering their signature burger - the Wolf burger served with a cone of fries and a shotglass of tomato sauce. Beautiful presentation, excellent proportions, cooked to perfection, good value of money (the Wolf, $12).

Wolf Burger (grilled beef, caramelized onion, pickles, mozzarella, roma tomato and iceberg lettuce)

Customer service slightly slow but this perfect juicy Wolf burger is compensation. I'll visit again for the burger.
