Built in Victorian style, the Strand Arcade is located in the heart of the central business district. In the arcade, you'll find Strand Espresso, which has been my favourite cafe for a long time. I am particularly drawn to this café because of its interesting décor - old time posters are hanging on the walls with two huge flower-shaped hanging lamps high up in the ceiling. Combined with the use of dim lightings and the installation of a few small wall lamps in old style, this café offers a cosy and warm ambience. All the design elements, the colour choice and setting are well blended together, adding a unique character to this shop.
The interior is beautifully designed, offering a unique ambience
As the Strand Arcade houses a wide array of interesting shops, you can stop by this café for breakfast, lunch or afternoon during the week or on the weekends. I always love sitting at the sofa inside, enjoying a cup of coffee and toasted Turkish bread while reading newspapers or magazines supplied from the shop. Just a warning; this shop is a fairly busy place and so you may not easily get a table inside the shop. However, you can grab a table outside the shop as an option.
The coffee and toasted Turkish bread are reasonably good
