When the lights go out at the end of the day, the State Library forecourt and Institute Building walls come to life with stories of our State's unique, fun and fascinating past - the Christmas Pageant, the ANZAC's, Adelaide's early settlements and stories of our city and the people who have made it great.

The stories come directly from the Library's permanent collections. These amazing short stories from the archives have been created to come to life in front of you using state of the art projections - bringing the library's special treasures to you. It's a totally interactive and exciting experience. You the viewer settles down in the Library forecourt and become totally engaged with the wall.

Two years in the making by Illuminart and the first of it's kind anywhere in a library in Australia, this incredible and free show is on every night as a permanent installation for at least the next 5 years (maybe longer!). Take the kids, they'll love it. It's an educational innovation. In fact, take the whole family - young and old will be enthralled and the nostalgic memories of growing up in and around Adelaide will bring a smile to many a persons face.
