During the holidays, it's sometimes a challenge to find a way to keep the kids entertained and make them learn something at the same time, but that's where Story Lab at the State Library comes in.
These holiday workshops run for two weeks, and is designed for boys and girls who are teenagers or just becoming teenagers. Story Lab provides teenagers with the opportunity to put their skills to the test, or even to learn new skills. Teenagers learn the basics to writing an engaging story, creating an animation, illustrating manga, even designing their own cartoon strip, and much more.
The first week consist of half-day workshops, both in the morning and afternoon. Between these sessions, there will be supervised activities during lunchtimes. In week two, the workshops will run for the full day. Please visit the website for specific timings and sessions. All materials will be supplied in the sessions, and participants will be able to take home their creations.
