It's always time to start small and dream big
The award-winning Barking Gecko Theatre Company once again presents Story Inc, an interactive reading and play workshop that gives children the chance to explore different popular story books. These workshops are 30 minutes in duration and run from 9:30am to 10am and again from 10:15am to 10:45am every Wednesday morning during term 3 at the Karrinyup Shopping Centre food court.

Designed for children from 2 - 5 years old, Story Inc. workshops are free and incorporate story reading, role-play, movement exercises, craft activities, singing and music. Each week, the workshops focus on different children's books, which encourage children to love reading through fun and creative ways. The sessions and story books are as follows:

15 Oct: I Am Cow, Here me Moo! by Jill Esbaum
22 Oct: The Little Corroboree Frog by Tracey Holton-Ramirez
29 Oct: The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein
5 Nov: Banjo and Ruby Red by Libby Gleeson
12 Nov: The Windy Farm by Doug MacLeod
19 Nov: The Paper Bag Princess by Robert Munsch
26 Nov: On Sudden Hill by Linda Sarah
3 Dec: Dream Animals by Emily Winfield Martin
10 Dec: Amy & Louis by Libby Gleeson
17 Dec: A Bush Christmas by C. J Dennis

All sessions are free to attend, however spaces are limited so arrive early to register with the event staff in the food court prior to each session's starting time. Each Story Inc. session can accommodate up to 30 children and parents need to supervise and remain with their children during the story session. For more information, visit the website and remember to bring a cushion or pillow for comfort and a sense of fun.
