The opened in 1940 and has been carrying vehicles across the Brisbane River ever since. Designed by John Bradfield, who also designed the Sydney Harbor Bridge, the bridge carries over 100,000 vehicles every day. In a similar way to Sydney, the Adventure Climb company arrange tours over the bridge during the day, at twilight and at night.
