Animation Fun For Teens
These days everyone is familiar with making their own video movies, but have you ever wanted to try stop-motion animation?
Stop motion animation involves taking a photograph of an object one frame at a time, and then moving that object between frames. Playing back the sequence of images rapidly, creates the illusion of movement. Movies such as 'James and the Giant Peach', ' Chicken Run', 'Wallace and Gromit', 'Corpse Bride', and 'Coraline' use stop-motion animation. Now you can do it too with the help of your ipad and a stop-motion app.
My kids' favourite toys. Bring your ipad to the workshop.
Sounds interesting doesn't it? Well if you are aged between 13- 17 yrs, why not attend a two hour Stop-Motion Workshop at the Caloundra Regional Gallery on Wednesday 16th September 2015 at 4pm. The cost is $15. Register by the 15th September to secure a place. You will learn how to create your own stop-motion film with guest artist Judy Barrass. All you need to do is bring your ipad and your imagination.
