Stones Throw is a new cafe that recently opened up at the top end of Were Street. It has an old world charm in leafy Montmorency with welcoming friendly staff and great Allpress coffee made by Trent, the owner and barista. I can see why it is fast becoming a popular choice with Monty locals.

I love its minimalist interior with exposed roof beams, whitewashed plywood tables and indoor greenery.

For lunch, my partner selected the tasty Ruben sandwich. I went for the avocado and pumpkin smash on toasted sourdough bread. Tossed with pumpkin seeds and feta, this was light lunch went well with a pot of loose leaf soy Prana chai.

The food is healthy and flavoursome. The cafe is fresh with a modern vibe. We loved coming back here and trying out other dishes on their menu. There is also a great selection of cakes and pastries.
