Those with a tendency for a tipple, something that is sure to smack lips and whet whistles is coming to Stones Corner. On May 31, the emerging foodie precinct along Logan Road is transforming to a mecca of all things tasty, all in the name of craft beer, wine and cider and appearances from a number of Brisbane's best food trucks.

Now in it's second year, The Stones Corner Festival is a chance to celebrate and sample tastes from Brisbane and the south east's growing number of microbreweries. Logan Road will to be closed to traffic, becoming an outdoor pedestrian mall of sorts complete with a range of market stalls, food trucks and the chance to sample craft beer wine and cider samples from a number of suppliers. Such suppliers include the big names of Little Creatures Brewing Co., James Squire, Stone & Wood and Burleigh Brewing Co, but also other acclaimed breweries known around Queensland craft beer and cider circles such as The Ginger Kid and Green Beacon Brewing.

Probably one of more exciting beer concepts is the Frozen Beer Co's beer slushie, made by filling a beer three quarters of the way, with the remaining quarter completed with a head of frozen beer shavings, with no watering down.

At the Stones Corner Hotel (at the corner of Old Cleveland and Logan Road) will be the chance to meet some of the brewers and learn about the brewing process in one of the several meet the brewer sessions.

Along the main shopping strip are a number of great eating options including the New York inspired 5 Boroughs , as well the funky and eclectic Shady Palms with their outdoor courtyard and Shady laneway filled with mismatched everything.

When it comes to the food, lovers of food trucks rejoice as some of Brisbane's most renowned food trucks will be anchored at the festival. Brought to the festival by The World Food Markets a number of roving wagons, including Juan More Taco's Tex mex, Char Baby's barbequed foods from around the world, as well as Chip Tease , a retro themed truck selling the best hot chips you've never tasted.

There will also be free entertainment throughout the day including Andew Taylor Duo at 12pm, Vanuatu's reggae/blues outfit, The Lyrical at 2.30pm, Round Mountain Girls at 5pm, and closing out the festival at 7pm, GANGgajang. Entry to the festival is completely free and there are also set to be a number of raffles, surprises and prizes on the day. Gates open at 10am, closing at 9pm.
