Walk into the refurbished new space of Stonecrop and you'll feel like you've ventured into a lush mini jungle, where plants of all shapes, sizes and types thrive and survive in all their glory.

Originally stationing themselves in Goodwood as of two and a half years ago, Stonecrop by Keta Grishaj and Lenny Kruger has expanded to a new location in Hackney, with the new space offering itself as a haven to homewares, fashion, greenery, and lifestyle. Each element collides cohesively to create a warm and inviting abode. Providing their customers with a botanical fix unlike any other, Stonecrop incorporates a bohemian vibe with pastel themes that are bound to burn that inkling for a major house makeover!

We started Stonecrop because of our combined vision of creating a vibrant retail space that represents us… We feel we have more to offer and our love for home and fashion has grown since starting Stonecrop, leading to us expanding and finding the space in Hackney. - Keta Grishaj.

Upon entering the heritage building that has preserved its well-aged components rather effortlessly, you will quickly find yourself surrounded by all kinds of lush foliage, succulents, and cacti that frame a good 75% of the overall space - from floor to ceiling. Bursting from each corner of the space is a plethora of local and Australian-owned businesses such as Etikette , Evergreen Collective , We the Wild , and Jones and Co. (to name a few).

With plants having always been a passion of Keta, an expansion into indoor styling became the next step for her. "Having a shop really helped with fueling my passions as I always had stock and a wide variety of plants and pots to share with my clients. Interior styling accessories was a natural progression for Stonecrop and we are really excited to share it once open in our new space."

While I visited the place in the early evening hours, I look forward to visiting sometime during the day, where the abundance of sunshine and natural light seeps through the windows of this quaint little nook that still bears elements of its unique church fit-out, to shine the spotlight on the gems that have been brought together under one roof. The space also allows for future plans of a workshop space to host local artists as an outlet for them to share their craft - this aspect of the move is on the horizon in a year's time, so keep an eye out for updates around this development.

Whether you're looking to spruce up your home or are finding some new and unconventional presents for loved ones, one thing's certain - there are endless options available at Stonecrop and you are bound to find at least one thing that can either be bought on its own or in conjunction with an add-on to make someone's day infinitely brighter (even if that someone is you).

Stonecrop is now open across two locations: 36 Richmond Street, Hackney and 396 Goodwood Road, Goodwood**.

Follow them on their socials ( Facebook and Instagram ) for updates.**
