An old converted warehouse, craft beer, good food, a place for kids to play and an atmosphere reminiscent of NYC or the beer halls of Europe but with a modern twist - this is Stomping Ground . What better way to spend a winter's afternoon in Melbourne than to catch up with friends or family in this pretty amazing and very cool space? The atmosphere is that of a bustling, happy and warm restaurant and bar, despite the cold outside, perhaps helped by the braziers in the middle of the large room. There is a sense of community of all ages and this is exactly what the owners have been striving for. A place to feel comfortable, to socialise and to meet new people, all while enjoying many of the specialty beers.

The story of this brewery has its roots in the history of Collingwood, both for beer brewing and the warehouse which is now its home. Passion for beer and beer brewing is evident in the way beer is featured throughout, in the shiny gleaming brewing vats or in the large take home bottles of specialty beers.

At any one time, there will between 12 and 20 different Stomping Ground beers on tap. They come in different styles, flavours and complexity. Some of those on offer can be found in this wide-ranging beer menu . For non-beer drinkers, there are wines and cocktails so no need to feel like you are missing out.

For food, there are small and larger plates to share, including meat and cheese platters, pizzas, salads as well as substantial dishes, also to share, such as slow-cooked lamb shoulder. There is even beer ice cream for dessert! If you are not sure what to have just ask the friendly staff for suggestions. The dishes can all be found here .
Spaces within the restaurant can also be booked for Function - 2017.pdf functions , be it for stand up drinks or a sit down meal.

If, after your lunch or dinner, you still feel like some more beer you can now take it home. There are glass growlers (1.89L) or squealers (945mL)! Click here for more information about Beer-To-Go and a list of what's in the fridge on any day.

If you have small children with you for lunch there's no need to worry about them getting bored. There is a very cool cubby house where kids love to play. The restaurant is very family friendly and young and older seem to coexist very happily together.
