Stoke Bar at Stokehouse Q invite you to say goodbye to Summer and welcome Autumn in true style!
On Sunday 28th February 2016, grab your friends and spend the afternoon on the Brisbane River with laid-back Summer beats from 2pm and enjoy cocktail jugs and share plates of the season's finest produce, plus a few fun surprises from the Stokehouse team! The best part is entry is FREE!
Two signature cocktails have been created for this special event - Goodbye Summer (White rum, dark rum, pineapple, orgeat, apricot brandy, lime juice) and Hello Autumn (Bulleit bourbon, triple sec, apple cider, Angostura bitters, lime juice). You can order these creations for one or share with friends in jugs - and because Summer isn't Summer without Pimms, there will also be fruit-filled Pimms pitchers on offer.
Stokehouse Q's Head Chef, Matt Wood, is also showcasing the best produce of the Summer season – think platters brimming with oysters, prawns and swordfish sashimi, stone fruit and tropical fruit, tomato and citrus flavours and more. Stoke Bar will also be bringing in astro turf, umbrellas, deck chairs and Pimms games to get the fun going.
This event will mark the launch of Stoke Bar's Seasonal Sundays program recurring on the last Sunday of each season, featuring seasonal flavours, stars from Stokehouse Q's main menu, cocktails reflecting the season and great music from local DJs.
"Seasonal Sundays has been designed to celebrate our region's best and freshest produce together with cocktails, wines and beers that best suit both the season and also what is being served. We know that our customers love locally produced and created tastes – what could be better than closing out the weekend sipping on a perfectly made cocktail, looking out at the city, and being surprised by shared plates from our kitchen," said Stokehouse Q's Peter McMahon.
