Stitch Sampler with Jill Christian – Workshops with SA Quilters



Located at Vermont Uniting Church Hall, 576 Cross Road, South Plympton, on Saturday, 10 May 2025, starting from 9.30 am to 4 pm, join SA Quilters and Jill Christian to have a fun day exploring the possibilities of hand embroidery stitching, while working through an Embroidery Stitch Sampler using perle cottons.

Jill will take you through simple stitches to some involving more steps. Learn new stitches and increase your stitching skills. Experiment with different variations and how they can be used in different ways to create varying effects. Cover the basic techniques during the workshop, and go home with a lot of different ideas to try variations with at home.

Jill’s sample is worked on felt, but fabric such as stripes or checks could be used as a linear base for stitching if preferred. Page size: 8” W x 12” H.
