Join in the threads of conversation and knit away
These stitchy sessions are held on the 4th Sunday of each month at Flinders Street Market in the big blue shed, from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm. Stitching, crocheting, embroidery, knitting and other thread enthusiasts are welcome to join the group for a little "Stitch and Bitch".
Everyone is welcome
Sessions are run in a relaxed and casual manner. Drop by anytime between 10:30 am and 2:30 pm, bring your project along, sit down with other crafty ladies and enjoy the thread of conversation. It is a great way of meeting other people whilst working on your project. You can also learn new techniques or share your pro tips.
For those who don't always carry their stitching supplies with them or don't have a particular project in mind but know how to knit, you can always head to the Community "Stitches for Love" Basket, grab a yarn and start a blanket, or continue one that someone else may have left unfinished. All finished items made from that basket are donated to Hutt Street Centre, a local service providing support for people facing homelessness.
Create something together
So if stitching is leaving you a bit socially deprived, drop by this friendly group and meet other people, whilst doing what you love.
Thank you for the write up Eliza! Vesna and I thoroughly enjoy hosting the Stitch n' Bitch gathering and look forward to meeting fellow stitchers.
People can head to the Adelaide Stitch n' Bitch Facebook group and join if they wish. Thanks!
