We've been waiting all winter, and now, after what seems like an eternity, the much loved and hugely popular Stirling Laneways and Markets returns for another season of delights in the popular Adelaide Hills town of Stirling.
Stirling Laneways is held on the fourth Sunday of each month (third Sunday in December) from September to April and presents a great opportunity to experience some fun, fashion and entertainment within the laneways and side streets surrounding the shops in the Main Street of Stirling.
From 10am to 4pm, and in conjunction with the monthly Stirling Markets, the town of Stirling comes alive with street performers, fashions, pop up shops, sidewalk stalls and artists looking to tempt and tease, and to add some vibrancy into your Sunday.
And talking colour what can be better than the Adelaide Hills where during Spring, Summer and Autumn, the Hills are alive with colour as trees and plants blossom, flower, glow and ultimately begin the beautiful process of fall, while all around them the Stirling Laneways and Markets shine.
Food and drink features strongly as many stallholders bring some of their best locally made products including Bull Creek pies, Adelaide Hills Wines and of course some unique organic coffees and teas. Supplementing these stallholders are a number of seasonal stalls selling fresh produce straight from the local cherry, strawberry or chestnut farms.
And if these stallholders aren't stocking the food that immediately tickles your fancy, then why not try any of the other local cafes up and down the Main Street, and tucked away in laneways, all of whom get into the spirit by putting on some specials on the day.
