Yet again, Kingston City Hall in Moorabbin delivers a low-cost school holiday event to keep little people busy this winter break.

Introducing Still Awake Still , a part-concert, part-theatre performance aimed at children aged 4-10yrs. Inspired by songs from the book I'm Still Awake, Still! by Elizabeth Honey and Sue Johnson, this comical show, re-written by Jessica Wilson and collaborating artists, consists of funny, anarchic, musical theatre work mixed with irresistible child appeal and a sophistication that will appeal to adults and children alike.

Still Awake Still is a 50 minute performance incorporating one grand piano, three mad-cap musicians and a most peculiar dream. Legendary Miss Ivory Tinklefinger, Queen of Sleep, has been hired to sing the audience to sleep. Of course she fails to do so, and in the process, conjures up mischievous musical boys from the heart of the piano in what proves to be a fabulously funny show to entertain young and old.

Still Awake Still is extremely good value for money, each ticket price is set at $15 each (child and adult price the same), or $10 each if booking groups of 4 or more. Kids under 18 months go free on the knee.

In addition to Still Awake Still performance, children are invited to join a pre-show Paper! Tape! Torch! workshop, in which they will learn how to tell a visual story with shadows and paper puppets. This 45 hands-on class will begin an hour prior to the start of the show, and is aimed at children aged 5-12yrs. Held in the function room, level 3 at Kingston City Hall, workshop cost is $12 per child, with supervising adults free.

There are two Still Awake Still performances, one at 11am and another at 7pm on Tuesday 1st July 2014. Pre-show Paper! Tape! Torch! workshops will run on the same date, 10am and 6pm.

Places are limited, head to the website to book your tickets.
